Where are you located, and what areas do you service? Maija Photography is located in Blaine, Minnesota. We serve the Twin Cities Metro and surrounding areas.


Do you charge for travel? Outside of the Twin Cities Metro area we do. Please contact us for a travel quote.


How do I schedule a portrait session? Please call or email us. (Phone: 763-923-3215), (email: Maija@ArtUpNorth.com)


What is your retainer/deposit fee? Maija Photography currently does not require a deposit for portrait sittings.


When and how do I pay? Sitting fees are due on the date of your portait session. Final payment for all portrait packages is due when you place your order. We accept cash or check. Sorry we are unable to process credit card transactions at this time.


What happens if a photographer gets sick, or we need to reschedule? In the unfortunate event the photographer is sick, we will call you immediatly and find a time to reschedule. If you need to reschedule, please call us as soon as possible. Since we bring the studio to your chosen location, you will be charged a travel fee if we are not notified of your need to cancel.


How many hours of photography are included in your portrait packages? One hour, plus set up and take down.


What type of equipment do you use? Maija Photography uses high quality digital SLR cameras. We use multiple cameras during your session ensuring any technical difficulty will not cause any delay or missed opportunities.


Do you shoot in Black and White, Color or both? Maija Photography takes all photos in color. Any of your pictures can be converted to Black and White upon request.


Will my pictures have a Matte or Glossy finish? That will be your choice. Maija Photography will print your pictures in Matte or Glossy depending on your preference. We will work with you while youíre reviewing the proofs to determine the finish on your pictures.


Do I get the negatives and have rights to reprint pictures? Because everything is digital, there are no true negatives, Maija Photography will keep high resolution copies of all the pictures we take and retain the right to use them for promotion or advertising. With the purchase of any print package you may also purchase a copy of the digital images and rights to reprint them for $150.00.


Do I need to supply any props? We love to incorporate special items in our pictures such as a blanket, doll, or toy that your child can't live without.


What prints are included in the packages? The number of prints varies for each package. Please review our Pricing & Packages for details.


When will I get my prints and proofs? Maija Photography will contact you within 30 days to review your proofs. All proofs are reviewed at our studio in Blaine, Minnesota. Depending on the season your turn around time can be much quicker. Once you have reviewed your proofs and selected your package of prints you should have them in about 7-10 business days.


Who pays for shipping my Prints, Albums and CDís? Maija Photography will cover the cost of shipping all prints and CD's you purchase.


Can I get more copies of the pictures on CD for friends and family? If you purchase the rights to the images, you will recieve two CD's. Additional copies can be purchased for $10.00 each. Since you have rights to the CD you can make additional copies yourself at anytime.
